She was more than an educationist—she was a guiding light for all of us. Along with Lt. Col. Surjit Singh Mehar, her husband and Major Ranbir Singh Malia, her elder brother, they built this school with love, dedication, and a dream to nurture every child like their own.

The proceedings took place in the presence of school authorities, teacher participants, and parent participants, strengthening trust, unity, and openness in the process. Each announcement was received with appreciation and a collective sense of responsibility.
The newly formed PTA Executive Body stands as a symbol of strong partnership between home and school. Through regular interaction and cooperation, the association will contribute meaningfully to the academic excellence and holistic development of every learner.

The 77th Republic Day of India was celebrated on 26th January 2026 with pride and patriotic spirit in the school premises. The programme began with a warm welcome to the honourable Chairman Mr. Baljinder Singh Malia, Mrs. Malia, the respected School Manager Mr. Sukhdev Sir and Mrs. Sukhdev, the Head of School Mr. Md. Imran Zafeer Sir, and all esteemed staff members.
The significance of Republic Day and the values of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity enshrined in the Constitution were highlighted. The Honourable Chairman Sir then hoisted the National Flag, followed by the National Anthem, creating an atmosphere filled with patriotism and pride.
In his address, the Chairman Sir inspired the staff to uphold constitutional values and continue shaping responsible citizens through education. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks and patriotic slogans of “Jai Hind” and “Jai Bharat”, followed by tea and refreshments.

To celebrate the spirit of India’s Republic Day, the school organised a vibrant and engaging Bagless Day, giving students a refreshing break from routine academics and an opportunity to learn through creativity and experience. With school bags kept aside, the campus buzzed with enthusiasm as students actively participated in a wide range of patriotic and fun-filled activities.
The day began with energetic classroom engagements such as the Tricolour Slogan Rally, where students worked in teams to create and chant inspiring slogans and poems on the theme “My India, My Pride.” History came alive through Freedom Fighters’ Skits, as students enacted short performances highlighting the lives, values, and contributions of great national leaders.
Creativity took centre stage with activities like Poster Making, Slogan Writing, and Bookmark Designing, where students expressed their thoughts on Republic Day, national symbols, and love for the nation through colours and words. Younger learners joyfully participated in Colouring Sheets, Tear and Paste Activities, and craft-based tasks such as making the National Flag, Tricolour Paper Dolls, and Wall Hangings, strengthening their fine motor skills while learning about national identity.
Adding a practical and enjoyable element to the celebration, Fireless Cooking and Sandwich Making activities encouraged students to prepare healthy, no-cook dishes such as tricolour sandwiches and fruit-based snacks. These activities promoted creativity, teamwork, and awareness about nutritious food choices.
The celebration was a beautiful blend of learning, creativity, and patriotic spirit. Through art, performance, craft, and collaboration, students not only celebrated the Republic but also imbibed values of unity, responsibility, creativity, and pride in being citizens of India—making the day truly meaningful and memorable.

Our school joyfully celebrated Children’s Day on 14th November 2025 through a vibrant and engaging Bagless Day organised for all classes from Nursery to XII. The celebration aimed to honour the spirit, creativity, and enthusiasm of children by providing them with opportunities to learn, explore, and celebrate in a joyful and relaxed environment.
To ensure meaningful participation for students of all age groups, online activities were conducted for Classes Nursery to V, while Classes VI to XII attended offline sessions in the school campus. Teachers curated a series of interactive and creative activities that encouraged expression, confidence, teamwork, and festive joy.
Students from Classes Nursery to V took part in various online activities, while students of Classes VI to XII engaged in multiple hands-on tasks. These included paper flower making, poster designing, photo frame creation, nachos or fruit chat preparation, and various fun pot games aimed at enhancing communication skills and fostering creativity.
Following the classroom activities, all students assembled in the school ground for the next phase of the celebrations. Our respected sir, Mr. Baljinder Singh Malia, who serves as the President of LAPS Society and Chairman of the School Managing Committee, addressed the students and extended warm wishes to all the children. He advised them to grow into responsible and conscientious citizens and appreciated the sincere efforts of teachers in nurturing young minds with dedication and care. Our dear HOS/ Vice Principal (Interim) sir, Mr. Md. Imran Zafeer also conveyed his warm wishes to the students.
A special highlight of the celebration was a vibrant Zumba session organised for students across all grades. The lively music and coordinated dance steps filled the atmosphere with energy and excitement, promoting physical fitness in a fun-filled manner. The involvement of teachers brought an extra spark to the celebration and strengthened the spirit of togetherness among teachers and students.

The SAFAL assessment provided students an opportunity to demonstrate their learning through application-oriented and competency-based questions. The exam was conducted in a structured and systematic manner, ensuring fairness, transparency, and smooth execution across all participating classes.
Teachers guided the students throughout the process and ensured that they were well-prepared for this new assessment pattern. Students took the exam with great enthusiasm and sincerity, reflecting their readiness to adapt to progressive evaluation methods.

Several esteemed judges were invited to evaluate the competition. The panel included Mr. Sukhchain Singh (music teacher, Sarvodaya Vidyalay), Dr. Vineeta Rai (music teacher, SKV), Dr. Jagdish Prasad (retired music teacher, DOE), and Ms. Pali Chaudhary, retired music teacher, DOE). Their presence added grace, fairness, and value to the event.

15th August 1947 is a day no Indian can ever forget. It was the day our nation finally breathed the air of freedom, after years of struggle and sacrifice. Every year, this day fills our hearts with pride, joy, and gratitude as we remember the countless heroes who gave everything for India’s independence.
At Lt. Col. Mehar Little Angels Sr. Sec. School, the 79th Independence Day was celebrated on 15th August 2025 with true spirit and enthusiasm. The morning began with a spirit of patriotism in every heart. The National Flag was hoisted by our respected Mr. Baljinder Singh Malia, who is the President of Little Angels Public School Society, Chairman of the School Managing Committee, and Administrative Director of our school. His heartfelt words reminded us of our responsibility as caretakers of this beautiful nation, he also reiterated the need tp be righteous, dedicated, honest and self-disciplined to be the honoured citizens of the nation.
The celebration continued with a soulful patriotic song that touched every heart, followed by poems and speeches in both English and Hindi where our students shared what this day truly means to them. Their words were simple yet powerful, reminding us all that freedom is not just a gift to enjoy but a legacy to protect.
The programme concluded on a unifying note with the National Anthem, sung with pride and passion. On behalf of the school management, sweet packets were distributed to all the students and the staff members enjoyed a warm breakfast together as part of the celebration, making the day feel even more festive and full of togetherness.
As Mahatma Gandhi once said:
“The future depends on what we do in the present.”
On this Independence Day, let’s carry that message forward—being fair, fearless, and faithful citizens of our great country.

Republic day celebration is a huge national event celebration in India especially for students in the schools, colleges and other educational institutions. India’s 76th Republic Day was celebrated with pride and reverence on 25th January 2025 at Lt. Col. Mehar Little Angels Sr. Sec. School. It’s a day to commemorate India’s independent constitution which came into force on 26 January 1950.
The ceremony began with the hoisting of the tricolour flag by our highly distinguished Managing Director, Mrs. Jasmohinder Singh, honourable Chairperson Mrs. Manju Mann and respected HOS Mrs. Urvinder Kaur. Flag hoisting was followed by the National Anthem to pay tribute to the motherland.
The celebration commenced with the inspiring words of our respected Managing Director mam. An array of performances had been prepared by the talented students of our school. To begin with, we had a mesmerizing performance by our school choir group followed by a patriotic musical performance by respected Ashish Sir. A group of students performed various asanas of yoga exhibiting strength and agility. The cultural celebrations included English speech, Hindi poem, song and various dances performed by the students representing different states giving a glimpse of the unity in diversity. This amalgamation of dance forms truly captured the essence of India and triggered numerous emotions like pride, love and respect for the country. The program ended with the message that we are not just citizens of this incredibly beautiful country, we are the custodians, responsible for upholding its values and contributing to its progress. A tribute to the memories and lessons learnt

The farewell for class XII students holds profound significance, marking a pivotal moment in their academic and personal development journey. This event is not merely a tradition but a rite of passage that encapsulates the culmination of years spent within the school’s walls, transitioning from adolescence into young adulthood.
The students, staff and management of Lt. Col. Mehar Little Angels Sr. Sec. School, bid farewell to the outgoing students of class 12 on Friday, 10th January 2025. The event was organised by class XI students, who gave best wishes to their seniors. The farewell party was celebrated with fervour at the school campus. It was an occasion for the outgoing students to reminisce their joyous moments. The school was adorned with various decorations, selfie point, gaming zones etc.
The event commenced with lamp lighting and blessings from the honourable Managing Director, Mrs. Jasmohinder Singh, revered Chairperson, Mrs. Manju Mann and HOS/Vice Principal, Mrs. Urvinder Kaur, who have always generously imparted their wisdom to the students and guided them towards the right path. The day proceeded with an array of performances encompassing medley of songs, foot tapping dance performed by students of class 11 and enthralling musical and dance performances by the outgoing class, making the event momentous for all. Our outgoing students showed up in their beautiful attires. The young girls glowed in stylish saris whereas boys carried themselves smartly in classic suits. Bracing themselves, the students walked on the ramp to participate for various titles. This was followed by passing the candle ceremony and lunch for all.
The farewell event symbolised the end of an influential chapter for students who have spent over a decade in the nurturing environment of school life — a period characterised by learning, growth, and resilience.

Diwali, the Festival of Lights, is a vibrant and culturally rich celebration that holds a special place in the hearts of millions around the world. It’s a time when homes, schools, streets, and hearts are illuminated with joy, positivity, and hope. At Lt. Col. Mehar Little Angels Sr. Sec. School, we believe in not just celebrating Diwali but also incorporating its values into our students’ education. Our school collaborated Diwali celebration with Bagless Day on 30th October 2024, making it a perfect way to celebrate this festival while also imparting important life skills to our students. Diwali is an occasion to rejoice in the conquest of brightness over obscurity, and we take pride in nurturing this luminance within our students, leading them towards a more brilliant and rewarding future.
The students celebrated the festival of Diwali with great enthusiasm. They proved that creativity and talent do not have boundaries. All the classes were well decorated and the corridors were adorned with colourful rangoli, diyas and lanterns. Various activities like diya decoration, rangoli making, sandwich making, paper lamp making, cooking without fire etc. were conducted in different classes. These activities permeated the school premises with an atmosphere of togetherness and hope.
All in all, Diwali celebration and Bagless Day activities filled our hearts and minds with love and harmony.

Teachers’ Day is a tribute to the selfless dedication of educators around the world. Celebrated on the birth anniversary of the renowned philosopher, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, it’s a day when we acknowledge the vital role played by the teachers just like our parents, in shaping our lives.
Teachers’ day was celebrated at Lt. Col. Mehar Little Angels Sr. Sec. School on 5th September 2024with great enthusiasm. The celebration was attended by our esteemed Managing Director, Mrs Jasmohinder Singh, honourable Chairperson, Mrs Manju Mann, our reveredHOS Vice Principal Mam, Mrs. Urvinder Kaur, graceful teachers, and all the students of the school. The teachers and students gathered in the ground for the celebration. The members of the management were presented with planters as a token of respect and admiration. The Managing Director mam congratulated the teachers and acknowledged the sincere efforts they put in every day.
The celebration began with Ganesh Vandana by the team of our melodious singers. Some students also expressed their gratitude towards the teachers by giving short speeches and reciting poems in English and Hindi. One of our little angels of class I held everyone captive by her beautiful dance steps. The main attraction of the celebration was a dance performance by a group of girls of classes IX-XII.A grand lunch was organised for the staff members. This way the entire celebration paved a new hope for teachers to rejoice the journey as a teacher.

QAWWALI COMPETITION
“Music is the divine way to tell beautiful and poetic things to the heart.”
The ‘Zonal Qawwali Competition’ of District West-B Zone 17 was organised on 20 August 2024 at Lt. Col. Mehar Little Angels Sr. Sec. School. Mr. Prashant Ratna, TGT Music and Mr. Vivek Pandey, a highly talented artist, were the judges of today’s competition. There were 5 teams of boys and 5teams of girls that participated in the event. The judges thoroughly enjoyed all the performances. The children sang with lot of passion and confidence. Each team showed their mastery over voice modulation, pitch, rhythm and tone. The judges shared their views about the competition and also inspired the participants with their valuable suggestions.

5th September is celebrated as Teachers’ Day every year as a mark of tribute to the contribution made by teachers to the society. This is the birthday of a great teacher, Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, a staunch believer of education and a well-known diplomat, visionary, statesman, scholar, President of India and above all a perfect Teacher. Teachers’ Day is celebrated with great enthusiasm in many parts of the world. This day is dedicated to the teachers with the sense of respect, appreciation, encouragement and support for their devotion to their students.
The teachers’ day was celebrated by the students of Lt. Col. Mehar Little Angels Sr. Sec. School on 5th September 2023 to express their gratitude for the immense contribution put forth by their teachers towards their development. The celebration was attended by our esteemed Managing Director mam, Mrs Jasmohinder Singh, Respected Principal mam, Mrs Manisha Sengar, our esteemed Vice Principal Sir, Mr. Naveen Bhardwaj, our special guests from Bharat Vikas Parishad, graceful teachers, and all the students of the school. We were privileged to have our special guests from Bharat Vikas Parishad known for their exceptional contributions to the society. Established in 1963, Bharat Vikas Parishad is a service-cum-sanskar oriented, non-political, socio-cultural voluntary organisation. We had amongst us Sh. Devender Khandelwal (secretary), Sh. Arwinder Kumar (Finance Secretary), Sh. Satyender Kumar Varshney (co-ordinator), Sh. Roshan Lal Riyal (Assistant Co-ordinator), Sh. Vijay Jain (Regional Manager), Sh. Kaustub and Sh. Amit Garg (members).

FIRE MOCK DRILL
A surprise mock drill to bring about awareness related to any mishap during fire was conducted in the school today i.e. on 1st September 2023 at 11:25am. The rescue teams were formed and students carried out the evacuation plan as instructed. Children participated enthusiastically and followed the given instructions carefully which helped in carrying out the rescue operation effectively. The drill was successfully conducted with the active participation of teachers and students.

The ‘Zonal Qawwali Competition’ of District West-B Zone 17 was organised on 23 August 2023 in Lt. Col. Mehar Little Angels Sr. Sec. School. Mrs. Sumeet Kaur Bhatia, Double Masters in Vocal Music and English Literature and Ms. Swastika Mishra, the singing sensation of today’s age and a highly talented young artist, were the judges of today’s competition. There were 4 teams of boys and 7 teams of girls that participated in the event. The judges thoroughly enjoyed all the performances. The children sang with lot of passion and confidence. The melodious voice pulled the heartstrings of the audience. Each team showed their mastery over voice modulation, pitch, rhythm and tone. The judges were impressed with the confidence, the tonal quality and the fervour with which the students sang. They also shared their views about the competition and also gave valuable suggestions to help the children to do better in the future.

The ‘Zonal Solo Classical Dance Competition’ of District West-B Zone 17 was organised on 23 August 2023 in Lt. Col. Mehar Little Angels Sr. Sec. School. Ms. Pooja Dutt, a skilled Kathak exponent and Acharya Dr. Tripti Kalra, an assistant professor at Indraprastha University, were the judges for the competition. All the vivacious dancers set the floor on fire with their energetic performances and this was a reflection of their passion and hard work. The judges appreciated the students for choreography, rhythm, synchronization and presentation. The judges congratulated the winners and applauded the performances of all the students and also encouraged them to participate more in such competitions to enhance their talents.

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

May the spirit of patriotism and love for our country lead us towards a brighter future
15 August 1947, the date any Indian can hardly forget, the day of freedom, the day that brought hope, the day that made India independent, is celebrated with the same hope, enthusiasm, happiness, and patriotism every year. Our school also celebrated the 77th Independence Day on 14th August 2023 with great patriotic fervour and zeal.
The celebration of Independence Day began with the traditional and auspicious flag hoisting ceremony. The flag hoisting was done by our distinguished Managing Director, followed by the National Anthem. On this pleasurable day, our respected Managing Director inspired the students with her motivating words.
A beautiful programme was put up by the students of the school that included patriotic songs, dances, poems and speeches. It began with the melodious patriotic song that was a blend of cosmic tune and divine music! Thereafter was a lovely presentation by our tiny tots of Nursery wing. Then a few students enlightened everyone with importance of this auspicious day through their beautiful poems and informative speeches in English and Hindi. It was followed by a mesmerising dance performance by the students of classes VI to VIII. It was a wonderful medley of dance and music. The programme culminated with a breath-taking performance by the boys of VII and VIII who presented some Yoga Asanas that involved various movements, figures, and mesmerizing formations which engrossed its audience to the core. Thereafter our respected Vice Principal Sir was invited to the stage to conclude the programme with the National Anthem. Indeed, it was a day of joy, a day to love and respect our country and make it a better place for Indians to live and experience the freedom, peace and unity in diversity.

ORIENTATION PROGRAM
Orientation is a time for students and parents to learn about the school’s policies and procedures. It allows students and parents to connect with the school faculty members and receive support as they begin their journey. To make the parents understand the academic programs, orientation was organized for classes Nursery to V on 15 April 2023 and for classes VI to VIII on 29 April 2023 in the school auditorium. The purpose of this program was to make the parents aware of the National Education Policy (NEP), provide them with information the school believes is critical to the success of our students, the rules and regulations of the school and ensuring parental participation in monitoring the performance and progress of the students. The Orientation program was quite helpful as it provided useful advice and information to the parents. Teachers’ friendliness and positive energy was appreciated by all.

Labour Day Celebrations
“Labour is the ladder through which human dignity and creative excellence are expressed”
To commemorate the Labour Day and to appreciate and thank the selfless service of the support staff who work with utmost dedication to ensure hygiene and security, our toddlers from Kindergarten celebrated labour day with full zeal on 1st May 2023. The main objective of the celebration was to teach students the value of labour dignity and the significance of respecting everyone for their contributions to the progress of the country. Students were enlightened about how the contribution of labourers to our society is of great relevance and how they are the key components of the growing economy.
To make the day special, sweets were distributed among our Helpers. They were overwhelmed by the love and respect the students showered on them. Our revered Principal, Mrs. Manisha Sengar congratulated the auxiliary staff for their selfless services.

HAWAN CEREMONY
“May the light of truth triumph always but the evil is burned from our heart and world. May goddess Durga bless us all with happiness, health, wisdom and wealth.
To energize one’s spiritual and intellectual conscience, an auspicious Hawan ceremony was performed at Lt. Col. Mehar Little Angels Sr. Sec. School on 30th June 2023. The ceremony was performed religiously under the divine fervor and spirituality. The sacred purifying ritual filled the school’s ambience with pious aroma and positive energies. Chanting of mantras and offerings to sacred fire created revitalizing and rejuvenating effect for both the body and mind and paved the way for further success. Staff prayed to the Almighty that soon children come back to school and fill the classes with their laughter and joyfulness. It was followed by a delicious lunch being served to the teachers. The ceremony concluded with the distribution of prasad.

A TRIBUTE TO COL. SIR ON THE DAY OF DIWALI CELEBRATION
The honourable Lt. Col. S. S. Mehar was remembered with love and respect on his Death Anniversary on 22nd October 2022. Col. Sir, unfortunately, snapped off his ties with this materialistic world, to leave for his heavenly abode on 22nd Oct 2007 creating an unforgettable void. His soul eternally resides in the school and will be a guiding source of inspiration to all of us here. To mark the occasion, the school management organised a special Havan to commemorate our highly respected Col. Sir on his Death Anniversary. Our honourable Managing Director, Mrs Jas Mohinder Singh, respected Principal Mam, Mrs Manisha Sengar, esteemed Vice Principal Sir, Mr. Naveen Bhardwaj and all the teachers were present to pay their respect and tribute to the respected Col. Sir. The Havan concluded with the distribution of ‘Prasad’. It was followed by the distribution of ‘Ration’ at ‘The Blind Institute’ in Nangloi to help the needy.
Thereafter Diwali Puja was done by the school management and the staff at the school reception. The Diwali celebrations at school often mean a festive look with diyas and other decorative pieces adorning the classes. The activities permeate the school premises with an atmosphere of togetherness and hope. We, at Lt. Col. Mehar Little Angels Sr. Sec. School, celebrated this festival with great enthusiasm. It was followed by the distribution of gifts to the teachers and class IV employees of the school. Diwali was celebrated with devotion, excitement and great fervour at the school.

The School celebrated its Annual Day on Saturday, 15th December 2018 amidst great zeast, vibrancy and elation.

Mr. Y. P Purang, Retd. Additional Director of Education was the Hon’ble Chief Guest on the occasion. Among other diginitaries present were Mrs. Daljeet Kaur, Retd. Additional Director SCERT and Mrs J. Singh, Secretary, Managing Committee.

The school follows the tradition of seeking Almighty’s blessings before commencing any programme. Thus, the evening began by invoking God’s blessings and lightning of the auspicious Lamp by the Hon’ble Chief guest Mr. Y.P Purang and our Respected Managing Director, Mrs. Sanjiwan Mehar.

More than 300 students embellished the eve with their artistic skills. The function started with a glorious prayer song by our “School Choir”.

The first part of the cultural programme was a good mix of dance, music, drama, fun and frolic. The power packed performances of our students enthralled the audience. An astounding visual treat was presented on the classic tale of “King Ashoka ” by the Senior students.

“Success is dependent on effort and Success is the sum of small efforts”. Thus, the second part of the celebration began with the Power-Point Presentation of the Annual Report for the academic year 2018-2019. The report by our respected Principal unveiled all the activities undertaken during the academic session and highlighted the achievements of the school and the students. This was followed by the Prize Distribution Ceremony where the Hon’ble Chief Guest gave away prizes to the Academically Meritorious Pupils of the school.

The musical play “Meera” was a treat to watch. The musical play depicted the life of Rajput Princess Meerabai and her devotion to Lord Krishna. The vibrancy of the Indian culture was depicted through the various folk dances presented in the play.

The Hon’ble Chief Guest Mr. Y.P Purang was superlative in his appreciation of the students, teachers and management for a classic programme presented. He stated that he felt highly honoured and elated to have visited our school. He landed the vision and the relentless hard work done by the students. He urged parents to encourage and praise their children for their good work and achievements more than criticize them, as appreciation gives them indomitable strength to face the world as it’s only school where children can make mistakes, freely learn from them and improve as well to become exemplary.

It was an incredible evening hosted and organised by class XI students, to bid farewell to Class XII students. This is to wish them a great future. The day was a fiesta devoted to the years spent together with friends and teachers to reminisce joyous moments. The programme commenced with the floral welcome to the Honorable Managing Director of the School Mrs. Sanjiwan Mehar, Respected Malia Sir and respected Principal Madam. A Fashion Show was organised for the students of Class XII and the stage was set ablaze with their ramp walk and talent round.The titles of Ms. LAPS and Mr. LAPS were won by Divya Kansotiya and Karan Sharma.
The class XI students gave a scintillating dance performance and the pulsating music rocked the ambience. The ceremonial ritual of the day was ‘Passing the Candle’ where in the Seniors lit the Candle of Juniors and confine in them their responsibilities to bring pride to the school. After this hot and delicious lunch was served.
The students were presented with the beautiful momentos as a token of love to keep their school memories alive.
