Sports Club

The Sports Club plays an integral role in promoting physical fitness, discipline and holistic development among students. The school believes that participation in sports not only strengthens the body but also nurtures essential life skills such as teamwork, leadership, perseverance, coordination, confidence and sportsmanship.

The school provides a range of indoor and outdoor sports facilities that encourage students to discover their sporting interests, develop their skills and participate actively in practice sessions, inter-house competitions and various sporting events. With opportunities for both recreational participation and competitive training, the Sports Club strives to create a vibrant sporting culture and inspire students to pursue excellence while embracing the values of fair play and teamwork.

BASKETBALL

The school has a well-maintained Basketball Court that provides students with opportunities to develop their agility, coordination, endurance and team spirit. Regular practice sessions and inter-house competitions encourage students to sharpen their skills and participate enthusiastically in the sport.

VOLLEYBALL

The Volleyball Court provides an active platform for students to develop coordination, quick reflexes, agility and effective teamwork. Regular training and competitive opportunities help students build confidence while fostering discipline and a strong spirit of sportsmanship.

CRICKET

Cricket is an integral part of the school’s sporting activities, offering students opportunities to develop batting, bowling, fielding and teamwork skills. The school has a dedicated Cricket Pitch that provides students with an ideal space to develop and practise their batting, bowling and fielding skills. Practice sessions and competitions encourage students to improve their technique, concentration and understanding of the game while cultivating perseverance and sporting spirit.

BADMINTON

The school’s Badminton Court provides students with opportunities to develop speed, balance, coordination and reflexes. Through regular practice and participation in competitions, students enhance their skills, concentration and confidence while enjoying the energetic and engaging nature of the sport.

FOOTBALL

The school’s Football facility encourages students to participate in an energetic team sport that develops stamina, agility, coordination and strategic thinking. Regular practice and competitive opportunities help students strengthen their teamwork, decision-making and sportsmanship.

TABLE TENNIS

The school provides Table Tennis facilities for students interested in developing speed, concentration, precision and quick reflexes. The sport encourages strategic thinking and hand-eye coordination while providing an engaging indoor sporting experience for students of different skill levels.

NATIONAL SPORTS DAY – INTER-HOUSE VOLLEYBALL CHAMPIONSHIP

“Champions keep playing until they get it right.”

National Sports Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and sporting spirit at our school on 29 August 2026. To mark the occasion and promote the values of fitness, teamwork, discipline, perseverance and sportsmanship, an exciting Inter-House Volleyball Tournament was organised for the students of classes IX – XII. The celebration began with a warm welcome to the esteemed Advisor Ma’am, Mrs. Manisha Sengar, respected HOS Sir, Mr. Imran Zafeer, the respective House In-charges and the students.

The event was successfully organised under the guidance and coordination of the Sports Department, with the dedicated efforts of PET teachers, Mr. Sandeep Kumar, Mr. Dhruv, and Ms. Shreya Rawat, whose meticulous planning and support contributed to the smooth and successful conduct of the tournament.

The tournament commenced with a floral tribute before the photograph of the legendary sports icon, Major Dhyan Chand. The honourable dignitaries also extended their heartfelt best wishes to all the participating players, encouraging them to play with confidence, discipline, determination and true sporting spirit.

The event brought together the four Houses—Satyam , Shivam, Sundaram, and Swapnam —in a spirited display of talent, coordination and competitive enthusiasm. The players demonstrated excellent teamwork, quick reflexes and determination throughout the matches.

The tournament began with the first-round matches. Shivam House played against Swapnam House, while Satyam House competed against Sundaram House. After two energetic and closely contested matches, Shivam House and Sundaram House emerged victorious and secured their places in the final.

The final match between Shivam House and Sundaram House was a thrilling and tough contest. Both teams fought with determination and displayed commendable volleyball skills. The match kept the spectators engaged and created an atmosphere filled with excitement and encouragement. The event was made even more lively by the excellent compering and enthusiastic commentary by Kavyansh of class X A, who kept the audience engaged throughout the tournament.

After a hard-fought final, Shivam House emerged as the winner of the Inter-House Volleyball Tournament. The title of “Player of the Match” was awarded to Tamanna Rawal of Sundaram House for her outstanding performance, skill, and valuable contribution to the team’s performance. The tournament proved that the true essence of sports lies not only in winning but also in participating wholeheartedly, respecting opponents and striving to give one’s best.

The event concluded on a high note as the esteemed dignitaries congratulated the winning team, Shivam House, for their outstanding performance and applauded all the participating teams for their enthusiastic participation, teamwork and commendable sporting spirit. They encouraged the students to continue embracing the values of discipline, perseverance, teamwork and sportsmanship in all their future endeavours.
