Child Protection Committee (CPC)
The Child Protection Committee (CPC) is dedicated to ensuring a safe, secure, and inclusive environment for every child in the school. The committee works to promote the well-being, dignity, and rights of students by creating awareness about child safety, preventing all forms of abuse and harassment, and encouraging respectful behaviour. It provides a supportive platform for students to report concerns confidentially and ensures that every issue is addressed promptly, sensitively, and in accordance with child protection guidelines. Through awareness programmes, counseling support, and collaboration with parents and staff, the CPC strives to foster a culture of trust, safety, and respect throughout the school community.

POCSO PLEDGE ACTIVITY – CPC INITIATIVE
As part of the school’s commitment to ensuring a safe, secure, and child-friendly environment, a POCSO Pledge Activity was organized to create awareness about child safety and the importance of protecting children’s rights.
The activity began with a brief introduction to the objectives of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and the significance of maintaining a safe and respectful environment for every child. Students were sensitized to the importance of personal safety, mutual respect, and reporting any form of inappropriate behaviour to trusted adults.
Thereafter, all students and staff members collectively took the POCSO Pledge, reaffirming their commitment to uphold the dignity, safety, and well-being of every child. The pledge emphasized respect, responsibility, courage to speak up against abuse, and the importance of creating a supportive and caring school community.
The activity served as a meaningful reminder that every child has the right to learn and grow in a safe environment. It also reinforced the values of empathy, respect, vigilance, and collective responsibility in preventing child abuse and promoting child protection.
The programme concluded with a renewed commitment from all participants to work together in fostering a culture of safety, trust, and respect within the school.
AWARENESS OF POCSO COMPLAINT BOX - CPC INITIATIVE
As part of the school’s continuous efforts to ensure the safety, security, and well-being of every student, a POCSO Complaint Box awareness session was conducted. The initiative aims to provide students with a safe, confidential, and accessible platform to report concerns related to their safety, inappropriate behaviour, bullying, harassment, or any form of abuse.
During the awareness session, students were informed about the purpose of the complaint box and were encouraged to use it responsibly whenever they wished to report any concern or seek support. They were also assured that every complaint would be handled with confidentiality, sensitivity, and prompt attention by the designated school authorities in accordance with the provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and the school’s child protection policy.
Teachers explained the importance of speaking up against any form of abuse and reassured students that their safety and well-being remain the school’s highest priority. The initiative also emphasized the role of trusted adults, including teachers, school counsellors, and parents, in providing guidance and support whenever needed.
The awareness of the POCSO Complaint Box reflects the school’s commitment to fostering a safe, respectful, and child-friendly environment where every student feels heard, protected, and empowered to report concerns without fear. The initiative reinforces the values of trust, accountability, and collective responsibility in safeguarding children’s rights.
SKIT ACTIVITY – CPC INITIATIVE
To promote awareness and encourage creative expression among students, the school organized a Skit Activity on the theme of child safety and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The activity witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who effectively conveyed important messages through engaging and thought-provoking performances.
The skits highlighted various aspects of child safety, including understanding personal boundaries, recognizing safe and unsafe situations, speaking up against abuse, and seeking help from trusted adults. Through meaningful dialogues and realistic situations, the students emphasized the importance of respect, empathy, courage, and responsibility in creating a safe and supportive environment.
The performances were appreciated by the audience for their creativity, confidence, and impactful presentation. Teachers guided the students in preparing the skits, ensuring that the messages were communicated in a sensitive, age-appropriate, and informative manner.
The activity proved to be an effective platform for educating students about their rights and responsibilities while reinforcing the importance of awareness and prevention. It concluded with an interactive discussion, encouraging students to uphold the values of safety, respect, and mutual care both within and outside the school premises.
The Skit Activity was a meaningful learning experience that successfully combined education with creativity, leaving a lasting impression on all participants and the audience.
POSTER MAKING COMPETITION - CPC INITIATIVE
A Poster Making Competition was organized to encourage students to express their ideas creatively on important social issues. Participants designed informative and attractive posters highlighting themes such as health, safety, environmental protection, and responsible citizenship. The activity enhanced students’ creativity, awareness, and communication skills while promoting meaningful messages among their peers.
AWARENESS RALLY - CPC INITIATIVE
A Bag Checking Drive was organized to ensure that students carried only the required study materials and prohibited items were not brought to school. The initiative promoted discipline, safety, and responsible behaviour while creating a secure learning environment. Students were also sensitized about the importance of following school rules.

A Poster Making Competition was organized to encourage students to express their ideas creatively on important social issues. PEER PRESSURE AWARENESS SESSION - CPC INITIATIVE
An interactive session on Peer Pressure was conducted to help students identify positive and negative influences among friends. Through discussions and real-life examples, students learned decision-making skills, self-confidence, and ways to resist unhealthy peer influence. The activity encouraged independent thinking and responsible choices.
ROAD SAFETY AWARENESS PROGRAMME - CPC INITIATIVE
A Road Safety Awareness Programme was organized to educate students about traffic rules, pedestrian safety, helmet and seatbelt use, and responsible road behaviour. Through demonstrations and discussions, students gained valuable knowledge about preventing road accidents and becoming responsible road users.
ROAD RAGE AWARENESS ACTIVITY - CPC INITIATIVE
An awareness programme on Road Rage highlighted the importance of patience, self-control, and courteous behaviour while travelling. Students learned about the causes and consequences of aggressive driving and discussed ways to manage emotions during stressful situations on the road. The activity promoted calm and responsible behaviour in traffic.
ANTI-DRUG AWARENESS CAMPAIGN - CPC INITIATIVE
An Anti-Drug Awareness Campaign was conducted to educate students about the harmful effects of drug and substance abuse. Through presentations, discussions, and awareness materials, students were informed about making healthy lifestyle choices and resisting harmful influences. The programme emphasized the importance of physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
ANTI-BULLYING AWARENESS PROGRAMME - CPC INITIATIVE
An Anti-Bullying Awareness Programme was organized to foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive school environment. Students were sensitized about different forms of bullying, its impact on individuals, and the importance of empathy, kindness, and mutual respect. The session encouraged students to speak up against bullying and support one another in creating a positive school culture.
POCSO AWARENESS SESSION WITH PARENTS AND STUDENTS - CPC INITIATIVE
Lt. Col. Mehar Little Angels Sr. Sec. School organized a POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Awareness Session for parents and students on 31st July 2026 in the school auditorium. The programme aimed to create awareness about child safety, protection, and the provisions of the POCSO Act, 2012.
The awareness session was conducted by Ms. Kavita Chauhan, Resource Person Ms. Swati Garg, and School Counsellor Ms. Charu. They educated parents and students about children’s rights, personal safety, safe and unsafe touch, online safety, and the importance of reporting any form of abuse without fear.
The programme was graced by our respected Chairperson, Mr. Baljinder Singh Malia, who highlighted the shared responsibility of parents, teachers, and society in ensuring a safe and supportive environment for every child.
The resource persons explained the key provisions of the POCSO Act and encouraged students to speak up, trust their instincts, and seek help from trusted adults whenever they felt unsafe. Parents were guided to maintain open communication with their children and recognize signs of distress. Information about CHILDLINE 1098 and other child protection mechanisms was also shared.
An interactive question-and-answer session helped participants clarify their doubts and understand preventive measures and legal safeguards. The programme concluded with a collective pledge to protect children’s rights and build a safe, caring, and child-friendly environment.
The session concluded with a vote of thanks by our Head of School, Mr. Md. Imran Zafeer, who appreciated the efforts of the resource persons and emphasized the importance of continued collaboration between the school and parents in ensuring every child’s safety and well-being.
The awareness session was highly informative and impactful, reinforcing the school’s commitment to creating a secure, respectful, and child-friendly environment.
SCHOOL SAFETY WALK WITH PARENTS - CPC INITIATIVE
As part of its commitment to ensuring a safe, secure, and child-friendly school environment, Lt. Col. Mehar Little Angels Sr. Sec. School conducted a School Safety Walk on 31st July 2026. The programme was attended by the Chairperson, Mr. Baljinder Singh Malia, Head of School, Mr. Md. Imran Zafeer, parents, students, and members of various school committees.
The Safety Walk was organized to review and strengthen the implementation of the school’s safety and security measures in accordance with child protection and school safety guidelines. During the visit, participants inspected key facilities and safety provisions, including security guard deployment and records, visitors’ register, CCTV surveillance system, fire safety equipment (fire extinguishers), RO drinking water facility, medical room, classrooms, notice boards, suggestion boxes, washrooms, staff room, and the school canteen. The functioning and maintenance of these facilities were reviewed to ensure compliance with prescribed safety standards.
The Chairperson, Head of School, committee members, parents, and students held constructive discussions on campus safety, emergency preparedness, hygiene, health services, child protection measures, and grievance redressal mechanisms. Parents were encouraged to provide suggestions and feedback for the continuous improvement of the school’s safety practices.
The participating parents appreciated the school’s systematic safety protocols, well-maintained infrastructure, and transparent monitoring mechanisms. They expressed satisfaction with the arrangements in place for ensuring the safety, health, and well-being of students and acknowledged the school’s proactive approach towards creating a secure and inclusive learning environment.
The School Safety Walk concluded with a reaffirmation of the school’s commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, strengthening collaboration with parents, and ensuring compliance with statutory safety norms and child protection guidelines. The programme further reinforced the shared responsibility of the school and parents in fostering a safe, healthy, and supportive environment for every child.
