Baisakhi Celebration
Baisakhi is the festival of new beginning, hope and happiness. The vibrant spirit of Baisakhi festival came alive at Lt. Col. Mehar Little Angels Sr. Sec. School as students of Nursery and K.G. celebrated this significant event. Everyone was dressed in colourful punjabi attire and brought yellow coloured fruit with food. The celebration was a perfect blend of fun, joy and cultural enrichment. Our tiny tots of K.G.enjoyed colouring in the worksheet of *Dhol* and nursery students participated in *Ear Bud printing* on corn worksheet. Clicking photographs with Baisakhi board was the real fun time for the kids. Children had yellow coloured food and fruit to feel the festive vibes of Punjabi culture. Finally, children danced on the Punjabi Bhangra beats . Overall , the children learned about the Punjabi culture and had a fun filled day with their friends.

Red Colour Day
*Colours* *colours* *colours*
Colours are the essential part of everyone’s life. We can not imagine the world without colours. Every colour has its own significance.
*Red* colour signifies love and compassion. To give the recognition of Primary colour *Red* , the students of class Nursery celebrated ‘ *Red Colour Day*’ on 8th April 2025 at the school. Students were told to dress up in Red colour attire and also bring red coloured objects with red colour food
*Red Day* celebration was a wonderful learning activity which helped the children to sort and classify the objects ,based on colours . Reinforcing the cognitive skills, children did fingerprinting in strawberry đ. It was a scintillating day with innocent faces đgleaming and reflecting brightnessâșïžjoyđlove and happinessđ„°.
*Colour* *changing experiment* of plain water into Red coloured water added special attraction to
Red Day Celebration . Object talk was organized and Red Day activity was also done . Heart-shaped takeaway was also given to each student.
Overall, it was a fun and joyful experience for children.

Our toddlers celebrated âWorld Health Dayâ
With great enthusiasm and awareness, our toddlers celebrated World Health Day. The school was filled with the spirit of living a healthy lifestyle
It was a day full of learning, fun and inspiration, reminding us all that health truly comes first.
The teachers of classes Nursery and K.G. organized a workshop on âTHE IMPORTANCE OF A GOOD HYGIENE AND HEALTHY EATINGâ. The teachers explained to students how they can maintain a healthy lifestyle by good hygiene and clean & healthy eating habits which we should follow in our daily life. The children also understood what are the ill effects of junk food on our body and mind. Their teachers guided them that regular exercise & yoga are also essential for a fit body.

Bagless day in school does not only provide a platform to encourage students to participate in the extracurricular activities but is also an attempt to provide a different module of learning for better performance.
Our tiny tots started the day with the fruit break, some fun talks and stories. They were taken out for some outdoor fun games like Grab the Cone in K.G. and Ball Balancing in Nursery. The day was full of energy and the children were ready to do indoor activities. As 8th May signifies the Mother’s Day đ€±, children were passionately ready to do Mother’s Day Activity to show love and affection for their mothers. Children did Fork Impression đŽflowers activity to make a beautiful planter for their mothers in K.G.In nursery children did Bubble Wrap đŒflowers impression activity to make a beautiful flower bunchđ for their mothers. It was a pleasure watching children doing something special for their mothers.
CIVIL DEFENCE MOCK DRILLÂ
DATE: 7th MAY 2025Â
The Directorate of Education (DoE) in Delhi has directed all the school heads to organise disaster response training for both students and staff. A demonstration video has also been provided to guide schools on how to conduct the mock drills.
As per the guidelines of Directorate of Education (DoE),a Civil Defence Mock Drill was organised at Lt. Col. Mehar Little Angels Sr. Sec. School on 7th May 2025 at 12.30 pm. The drill aimed at educating students and staff about safety protocols during civil emergencies and enhancing emergency preparedness following the Pahalgam terror attack. This mock drill was conducted under ‘Operation Abhyaas for disaster response training and safety preparedness in schools.
During the mock drill the teachers responded to a siren by securing doors, windows, and curtains and switched off the electrical appliances. Students were instructed to take cover under desks or near walls, shielding their heads with their schoolbags and hands. The senior students were trained to assist younger students and help maintain order during any stressful situation as demonstrated in the videos shared by DoE. Furthermore, the students were also advised to use thick curtains at home and turn off all lights, including bulbs, phones and torches during similar emergency scenarios.
Our school ensured full participation in the mock drill exercise with the aim of promoting a culture of safety, preparedness and civic responsibility among students in alignment with national priorities.
YELLOW COLOUR DAY CELEBRATION
“Shades of yellow stimulate our little ones with happiness, energy and optimism.â
Yellow is a vibrant and cheerful colour that fills our world with brightness and joy. In our nursery class, we celebrated ‘Yellow Colour Day’ on 5 th May 2025 to introduce our little ones to the significance of this colour. This event aimed not only to have fun with yellow colour but also to help the children understand its importance in our daily lives.
Children were not only beautifully dressed in their favorite yellow dresses but also brought yellow objects and chart projects to make it a complete âYellow Day.” It was not just a day of colour exploration but a journey into the world of happiness and positivity as represented by yellow colour. It was a fun and interactive way to teach children about the colour yellow while fostering their creativity and imagination. It was indeed a day filled with laughter, learning and the radiance of yellow.
The young stars shared their toys and belongings with each other in a highly spirited and friendly atmosphere.
They were excited while doing the craft activity .
We conducted a series of activities:

Earth Day Celebration
Go green and make our Earth a beautiful Planet to live

 April 22nd, celebrated as The Earth Day was initiated to inspire all to rejoice and cherish the beautiful planet Earth. Itâs a day when people come together to raise awareness about protecting our planet and taking actions to address environmental issues.
To mark the importance of the Earth Day, pre-primary students were introduced to different and joyful activities. The day started with the happy welcoming feel as children came wearing green colour T-shirt đŹand blue jeans. They brought sapling and seeds to mark their initiative for making mother Earth greener. The day was full of energy as children were out in the garden for nature walk and seed sowing đ±activities. They were also given the brief introduction about the significance and importance of protecting our planet Earth in a storytelling session
Later on children participated in many activities like – Earth Hand Impressionđđ» , Cotton đłDabbing , đColouring worksheet of the Earth đ. They were also told to bring green colour food đ„đ§đ«and fruit đfor the celebration.
At the end of the day, children were presented Head Gear of the Earth in Nursery and Earth brooch đin K.G to tell how the Earth is precious for us. Each and every moment of celebration was captured beautifully in photographs.
FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

With joy and excitement in the air, LITTLE ANGELS SR. SEC. SCHOOL warmly welcomed its little stars on Acclimatization Day on April 1st. As the tiny tots entered the school, they were welcomed with cheerful rhymes playing in the background, filling the atmosphere with happiness. Teachers greeted them with cheerful high-fives, adding to their excitement.Â
 The school was beautifully decorated with colourful balloons, making the day even more special.Â
The highlight of the day was a special takeaway craft activity, where the little ones created keepsake to remember their first day. The school echoed with laughter and happiness, making it a truly heart warming experience for the tiny tots.
SCHOOL PICNIC
‘A picnic is the perfect gateway to relax and enjoy nature.’
CLASSES: NURSERY — II (22nd  FEBRUARY 2025)
To break the monotony of the routine and recharge the students with new energy, a fun filled picnic to Eco Adventure Camp was organized on 22nd February 2025 by Lt. Col. Mehar Little Angels Sr. Sec. School for the students of Classes Nursery â II.
As the excited group ventured into the camp site, they received a warm welcome by the friendly staff of the camp. Thereafter, the students were divided into small groups and a guide was assigned to each group. After relishing the delicious breakfast, the students participated in various adventurous and thrilling activities like artificial river crossing, wall climbing, commando crawl, commando net, balance beam, tunnel crossing etc. These day long activities helped to strengthen the bond of friendship and instilled teamwork. Entertaining activities like magic show, tractor ride, camel cart ride etc. gave them a glimpse of rustic life. After they had their lunch, the children were excited and shook their legs to the dance numbers which were played.
Overall it was a joyful trip with loads of adventure and excitement, thus making it a memorable day for the students.
CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION AND BAGLESS DAY
Christmas is the spirit of giving, without a thought of getting. Merry Christmas to all!
24thTH DECEMBER 2024
Christmas brings cheer and love and we at Lt. Col. Mehar Little Angels Sr. Sec. Schoolcelebrated with the same fervour, spreading the message of love and joy among the children. Christmas celebration was done on 24th December 2024. Our KG and Nursery Angels danced to joyful tunes. Even the Xmas trees and Santa danced to the exciting tunes. Christmas tree was made and decorated with pom-poms and cotton dabbing. Disposable plates were used to make the faces of Santa. A number of fun games were played.A happy and pleasant atmosphere was created. The excitement and happiness of children knew no bounds when secret Sanga Claus made a grand entry, bringing each one a special gift and blessings. The boundless joy of   celebrating the festival was visible on the faces of our tiny tots. It was a joyous celebration for everyone.
CHILDRENâS DAY CELEBRATION
âChildren are like buds in a garden and should be carefully and lovingly nurtured, as they are the future of our nation and the citizens of tomorrow.â
Lt. Col. Mehar Little Angels Sr. Sec. School celebrated Childrenâs day on the 14th November 2024, with great festive fervour, to commemorate the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. Teachers took this unique opportunity to give a brief insight into the life of Chacha Nehru and his special connection towards children.
The children came dressed in casual dresses.To make this day a memorable one, various fun filled activities â like mimicry, colouring Competition, ramp walk, dancing etc. were organised for the students of pre-primary wing. They were taken out of their class rooms to the ground. It was an unstoppable day of celebration full of fun, frolic and laughter and the children utilized this liberty and played games to their heartâs content. They relished their favourite food with the classmates. There was excitement in the air and children left the school with a bag full of stories about their special day at school.
DIWALI CELEBRATION AND BAGLESS DAY

30TH OCTOBER 2024
Diwali symbolizes the âvictory of light over darknessâ. The Kindergarten of Lt. Col. Mehar Little Angels Sr. Sec. School celebrated this festival at school with a motive to teach the importance of spreading light over darkness. Our tiny tots learnt that this victory can be achieved in many ways like by spreading joy, love, compassion, and togetherness.
Children were dressed up in traditional attire. They decorated diyas and candles with colors and glitters. Card making and rangoli making activities were organised for the students. These creative endeavours allow students to tap into their artistic potential and learn to appreciate the beauty of Indian culture. Such activities help to foster a sense of companionship, team spirit and joy. The teachers and students enjoyed wholeheartedly.
DUSSEHRA CELEBRATION
Let’s celebrate the victory of truth over falsehood.
Celebrating festivals is an integral part of learning at Lt. Col. Mehar Little Angels Sr. Sec. School. Being a diverse country, through such celebrations, students not only learn the significance behind the festival, but they also learn to embrace other traditions and culture just like they do with their own. Celebrations bring the school community together, building a close bond between the children.
Keeping up to this tradition, the festival of Dussehra was celebrated by our pre-primary students on 8thOctober 2024. Dussehra signifies the victory of Lord Rama over Ravana, hence it symbolizes the triumph of good over evil. They enjoyed activities related to Dussehra like making Ravana with paper folding activity, draw and colour activity and listening the story of Dussehra. The teachers also shared some valuable information about the festival thus enhancing their learning. It helps the children to understand the importance of virtues like truth, courage, and righteousness.
SWACHHATA PAKHWADA
(1 SEPTEMBER 2024-15 SEPTEMBER 2024)
The government of India is observing Swachhata Pakhwada every year since 2016, which has become a successful mass movement with the annual participation of millions of children and other functionaries besides members of the community. This year the âSwachhata Pakhwadaâ was scheduled from 1 September 2024 to 15 September 2024.
For observing the Swachhata Pakhwada in a befitting manner with focused participation resulting in cleanliness, sanitation and hygiene drive, our school organized the following activities for the students of classes NURSERY and KG.

SAY NO TO MOBILE
âTechnology is a useful servant but a dangerous masterâ
The mobile phones have become the greatest spy on the planet. To educate our tiny tots about the same, an informative session was organized by the teachers of pre-primary wing of Lt. Col. Mehar Little Angels Sr. Sec. School. Say no to mobile activity was conducted on 13th September 2024. In this activity two teachers played the role of such persons who make excessive use of mobile phones and as a result’ they lost their eyesight.
Through this activity, children were made to understand that excessive use of mobile phone can cause lot of serious problems like loss of eyesight, sleep disturbance, loss of concentration etc. The harmful effects of the mobile phones were explained in detail to the children. All the children enjoyed the activity and understood the motive behind the same.
TEACHERâS DAY CELEBRATION

Teacherâs Day was celebrated with immense zeal at our school on 5th September 2024.It is a day to pay respect to the teachers and thank them for the efforts and hard work they put in every day, all around the year, to nurture the students. Students participated in activities like dance, poetry and songs to thank their teachers. Card making activity was also organised. Students of classes Nursery and KG brought decorative material for card making activity. It was an opportunity for our toddlers to use and show their own creativity to make the cards. Students enjoyed the day and activity with great enthusiasm.
ENGLISH RHYME RECITATION COMPETITION
DATE-2nd SEPTEMBER 2024
âPoem Recitation is a mode of expression, a medium to reflect the latent talents of the young ones.â
Rhymes can prove to be an instrumental stepping stone for young children to develop their verbal skills and boost their confidence.
Keeping this in mind, English Rhyme Recitation Competition for Classes Nursery and K.G. was organized on Monday,02/09/2024 in which the children got an opportunity to exhibit their talent and confidence. The children chose a variety of topics for their recitation like nature, trees, rain, animals etc. with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm.The children enjoyed the competition. Our honourable Chairperson congratulated all the participants and winners were presented the rewards and gifts.
JANMASHTAMI CELEBRATIONÂ Â
Krishna Janmashtami is a festival commemorating the birth of Lord Krishna, one of the most powerful and famous reincarnations of Lord Vishnu.
To seek the blessings of Lord Krishna, the students celebrated Janmashtami with mirth and joy. The students came dressed up as Lord Krishna, Radha, playmates and friends of Krishnaâs childhood. The School premises wasdecorated with balloons, flutes andmatkies giving the vibes of festivity. Educational videos were shown to the students to make them aware of the preachings of Lord Krishna. The happy and excited students also participated enthusiastically in craft work. The teachers instilled the value of self-worth and introspection in the students. The day was a delightful divine journey for the students.
INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION
Independence day celebration took place in the school premises on Wednesday â 14th August 2024.
The event was organized with great zeal and enthusiasm. A special assembly was held where the children were briefed about the significance of our 78th Independence Day. The highlight of the event was a special dance performance by the students of K.G. on “Suno Gaur Se Duniya Walon”.
It was also a Bag less day for Nursery and K.G. classes. The students enjoyed different games like Flag Race, Passing the Parcel, Book Balancing etc. They wore tricolor T- shirts and also brought tricolor food. National Symbols were explained in the classes.
RAKSHA BANDHAN CELEBRATION
âRakhi is a bond of love, a bond of togetherness.
Itâs a thread that binds, our lives and our heartsâ.
Raksha Bandhan celebration was held on 16th Augustâ2024 at LAPS. This festival cherishes the bond of love between brothers and sisters. On this special day the decoration and ambience of class reflected the festival mood. Our Pre â Primary kids were beautifully dressed up in traditional attire and they celebrated this festival with their friends. Girls tied a sacred thread on the boysâ wrist and they gave them a chocolate and gift as a token of love. All the students enjoyed a lot.
SELF INTRODUCTION COMPETITION
A Self Introduction Competition was conducted by Nursery Block of Lt. Col. Mehar Little Angels Sr. Sec. School.
Introducing oneself to the World is an art. The exposure of this kind boosts the confidence of children and helps them to be more social. A confident mind leads one to great success .The objective of the competition was to develop their public speaking skills. Their attempt to hold the mike developed their social and emotional skills. We endeavour to build a confident new generation of India.
 GLOBAL TIGER   Â
The International Tiger Day was celebrated on 29 July 2024 to raise awareness on tiger conservation. The celebration sensitized students about the critical need to protect tigers.

The week-long celebration of Shiksha Saptahwas an enriching and enlightening experience for the entire school community. The week was filled with a variety of activities that aimed at fostering a love for learning and academic excellence.

The Department of School Education & Literacy has observed Shiksha Saptah from 22-28 July 2024. MANGO DAYÂ Â Â Â Â
 âMango Dayâ was celebrated on 22/7/2024 by our kindergarten children. Dressed in yellow our children bloomed like sun flower. The celebration was a measure to introduce our toddlers to the king of fruits ‘Mango’. Various activities were included to make the day more interesting like making mango craft, paper crumpling and dabbing, rhyme session related to juicy mango. The activity helped to develop their fine Motor skills. The sole purpose of the entire event was to see our little angels budding and blooming with happiness and excitement to learn.




JANAMASHTAMI CELEBRATION
On 6th September 2023, a joyful Janamashtami celebration took place for the young students of Pre- Primary. On Krishna Janmashtami, The Pre-Primary were depicted as Gokul, the mythical village of Lord Krishna. Students from the Pre-Primary participated in the events with great enthusiasm. The school premises were decorated with buntings, flowers, swings, and pictures of Lord Krishna. While boys were dressed up as Krishna, girls were dressed up as Radha. There were dance performances on âKanha So Ja Zaraâ and âNatkhat Natkhat Jamuna Ke Tat Parâ. Children delighted in swinging Ladoo Gopalâs cradle. Teachers narrated enchanting stories about Krishna. Dahi Handi was the main attraction of the event. Various activities were conducted for Pre-primary students like-Decoration of Peacock Feathers, Matki and Flute.
RAKSHA BANDHAN CELEBRATION
âRaksha Bandhan’ or ‘Rakhi’ is a special occasion to celebrate the virtuous bond of love between a brother and a sister which is one of the deepest and noblest of all human emotions. To commemorate this festival, a Rakhi Making Activity was organized for the students on 30th August, 2023. Students made beautiful Rakhis using different articles like ribbon, mirrors, pom poms, beads etc. Rakshabandhan was celebrated with lots of love and happiness.

Friendship is a selfless bond between two people. Having a friend you can trust with your eyes closed is a God’s blessing. Friendship is a devoted relation, where both get the same love, care, and priority from each other. At an early age, people come in contact with various members of the public, and they make many friends. Keeping the above thought in mind, Friendship Day was celebrated on 5th August 2023. Teachers told about importance of friends in life. They discussed the value of âsharing is caringâ. The students of Pre-Primary celebrated the day with their friends and teachers and exchanged friendship bands and chocolates.
TIGER DAY
Global Tiger Day, often called as International Tiger Day, is an annual celebration to raise the awareness for Tiger conservation. âThe Tiger Dayâ was Celebrated on 29th July 2023.To promote this cause of saving this beautiful endangered species the student of Pre-Primary participated enthusiastically in different activities for the occasion. The following activities were planned to celebrate the day for the students aimed to generating awareness about the need to save tigers.

MANGO DAY
To celebrate and relish the season of the king of fruits âMango.â Mango Day was celebrated on 21st July 2023. The aim of organizing this activity was to import all information related to mangoes. Children dressed in yellow, and bloomed like sun flowers. The celebration was a measure to introduce the colour concept of the colour âYELLOWâ and introduction to the king of fruits âMango.â Children brought different food items related to mango like frooti, pie, cake, mango shake etc. The sole purpose of the entire event was to see our âAngelsâ budding and blooming with happiness and their excitement to learn. The following activities were included to make the day more interesting. The children thoroughly enjoyed the party and will remember it for a long time to come. Overall, it was memorable day.

CHOCOLATE DAY CELEBRATION
Chocolate is loved by everyone across the world. It not only acts as a good stress buster and a mood lifter but is also good for health. Our tiny tots celebrated Chocolate Day on 7th July 2023, in a scrumptious way. Through stories, they learned that chocolates are made of milk, cocoa powder, and sugar, they were also taught about the health benefits of eating chocolates but in moderation, as excess can cause tooth decay.
Students brought their favourite chocolates and had a great time relishing them with their friends and teachers. The joy of celebrating Chocolate Day with their classmates was seen on the gleaming faces as the tiny tots bid goodbye for the day with blissful memories!

GREEN COLOUR DAY
Green is the colour of life, nature and energy. It is associated with growth and prosperity. The learners of nursery celebrated Green Day on 9th May 2023. The learners were dressed in different shades of green. To reinforce the concept of colour, the learners were engaged in an art activity. The activity seeks to sensitize teachers and students for environmental sustainability through the active involvement of the community.
BLUE DAY
Blue â The colour of loyalty, strength, wisdom and trust had a very positive impact on tiny tots bringing in harmony and brotherhood. The learners of nursery celebrated Blue Day on 8th May 2023. The dress code of the day was blue. Children brought different objects like toys, decorative items.

EARTH DAY
To Sensitize the children, become the crusaders for environmental conservation, our school organised the Earth Day on 21st April 2023. The children were made aware that Every day is earth day and the purpose of celebrating Earth Day is to keep our grass green and our skies blue with more trees and less pollution. To celebrate the day, the following activities were conducted.

YELLOW COLOUR DAY
Shades of yellow stimulates our little ones with happiness, energy and optimism. Our pre-primary facilitators celebrated yellow day on 28th April 2023 with the tiny tots of nursery. The teachers were beaming with pride when the confident little commentators describe the yellow objects with the flair and ease. A day dedicated to the yellow colour was marked with cheerful children attired in different hues and tints of yellow outfits. RED COLOUR DAY
âThe colour of love and smiles illuminates the air with energy vigour and exularenceâŠ.â Pre-primary wing of our school conducted red day activity on 24th April 2023, to introduce children into the mesmerizing realm of colour. The shades of red made our tiny tots feel bright, lively and cheerful. The tiny tots looked stunning in their red outfits and also enjoyed the colouring activities planned for the day. It was a scintillating day with innocent faces gleaming and reflecting brightness, joy, love and happiness
ORIENTATION DAY

An Orientation programme was organised on 15.4.2023.
Parents were briefed on School culture, rules & regulations, curriculum and teaching methodology. An overview of subjects and activities were shared for the upcoming academic session 2023-24.
